Kristine Bateman came home for the weekend and she and Jeannine attended the wedding Saturday of Michael Garcia and Pam Kruse in Newton. They visited Alvina Skibbe while there.

Skip and Eileen Sieger were dinner guests Sunday of Jeannine and Kristine. In the afternoon the Siegers and Jeannine drove to Wichita to the orchid show at Botanical Gardens. Both Jeannine and Eileen purchased more orchids. Eileen got one with orange in it, something she had not seen before. They even got Kristine started on her own orchid collection.

Shirley and David Bowers, Harold Conyers, and Dorothy Conyers drove Thursday afternoon to Wichita and toured the Grace-Med which used to be Urban Ministries. They attended the soup supper at East Heights United Methodist Church following the tour. Shirley Bowers attended the World Community luncheon Friday at the Presbyterian church sponsored by Church Women United.

Darlene Schmidt and I drove to McPherson Thursday to attend the annual district meeting of FCE. We brought home lessons for 2005 for Youngtown FCE.

I visited Roseva McLinden Monday and had a good visit with her. She was sitting up and can walk with the aid of her walker to the dining room. We are pleased to see her improving.

Jackie Hett took Aline Bernhardt, Evelyn Mott, Vivian and Harold Conyers, and Viola Kelsey to dinner Wednesday at The Big Scoop to celebrate Aline's 92nd birthday.

Rachel, Rose, and Greg Davidson went to the 4-H achievement banquet Saturday night at Tabor College cafeteria. They attended the Happy Hustlers 4-H Club Sunday at Lincolnville Lutheran church.

Marilyn Geis and Virginia Downing had an interesting surprise Wednesday afternoon while returning from Mulvane. At 3:30 p.m. a large buck decided to roll across the hood of their car as they neared Marion. The car was not damaged, but the girls were surprised.

Mary Ann and Ivanlee Timm were evening guests Monday of Leonard and Rosalie Klassen following dinner out to celebrate Mary Ann's birthday. Don and Bernice Friend of Newton visited Tuesday with Leonard and Rosalie. Leonard attended the men's retreat Friday and Saturday nights in Wichita. Rosalie spent the time with Vickie Fisher and family. They stopped on their way home to see Rachel Friesen in Newton. Ray and Eleanor Davidson visited Sunday night with the Klassens.

Marj, Emily, and Ethan Johnson came Sunday to eat dinner with me. Ethan put a computer cabinet together for me and Emily installed my computer in its new home. It's now much more comfortable to use the computer.

Eileen Sieger went to the woman's wellness workshop Saturday at Marion Elementary School. She reported it was excellent as usual.
