Skip Sieger and Dick McLinden flew over the Mick Summervill farm Saturday minutes after Kay Lynn's wedding and took photos from the air. The wedding, reception, and dance all were held outdoors. Cy and L.Dena Goertz and Skip and Eileen Sieger were among those attending the wedding.

Youngtown FCE met with Gertie Mahoney in Newton Tuesday for a carry-in luncheon and meeting. Gertie moved here from California a few years ago and is determined to make her yard like the one she had in California. She has a rock garden with many beautiful flowers, a pretend waterfall in the corner of the backyard, and many other flowers and shrubs. Gertie's home has several mature trees. Among them is sweet gum, blue spruce, and pin oak. This contributes to the outside beauty of her home. She has done most of the work herself with a little help from a niece. Enjoying the luncheon were guests Roseva McLinden, LuCretia Winkley, Darlene Schmidt, and Margaret Ireland. Roseva gave the lesson on helpful household hints and gave each of us a book of helpful hints published by the national council with hints sent in by FCE members from all over the USA.

Skip and Eileen Sieger attended the funeral of John Pruitt Tuesday at St. Patrick's Church, Wichita.

This year's Vacation Bible School at Eastmoor had a country theme. Eileen Sieger took her pet chickens in for the children to see. Different animals were brought to the school by church members so the children could see them up close. Eileen helped on Thursday with the luncheon of St. Luke Hospital Auxiliary. After dinner with family and friends at the Community Church in Colony, they stopped in Burlington and visited at the Daniel Bowers Home.
