I didn't reach Alvina Hoffman last week and she wanted to report that Laverne Hoffman had come from California for the country school reunion. He flew into Kansas City on Friday, rented a car, and flew back to California early Tuesday morning. They were on the go all the time he was here. He took her to Newton on Monday to be fitted for new hearing aids. She was to get them Monday and we hope they help her. Kathy Hurst visited Alvina Sunday afternoon.

Additional weekend guests were Susie and Dick Mueller, Charlie and Barb Stinchcomb, Mike and Emma Stinchcomb, Charlene and Ralph Janzen, Cory and Julie Janzen, Jared, Kelly and Ryan Janzen, and Kenny and family.

Bryce and Breanna Bowers spent the Chingawassa Days weekend with David and Shirley Bowers and other family. Their parents, Daniel and Kim Bowers of Burlington, came Monday evening to get them and all had supper together.
Saturday was a special day for Breanna Bowers. She and her sister Amber were baptized in the afternoon, followed by a cook-out at their home. In the evening, Breanna was the March Hare in a version of Alice in Wonderland, presented by the Burlington Community Playhouse. Among those attending were Kevin and Bev Jennison, Betsy and Josh Bunnel, Mary Beth, Rhonny, and Luke Bowers, and David and Shirley Bowers.
