After tabling the city administrator's appointment twice, our elected officials will make the decision "to do the right thing." The election results said Marion voters want changes. Are they being heard?

Behind every mayor who runs on a hidden platform is an individual or group who wants something that is not possible by open and ethical means. Regardless of which side of the issue you might be on, wouldn't it be prudent for David Mayfield to resign? If he truly is for the betterment of Marion, which he has never publicly stated but one assumes he is, doesn't he realize the division this issue has caused in the community? The council was elected by the majority of the members of this community — not by a few rich boys who throw their money around when they don't get their way.
