Youth bowlers end season with party

The Marion County Youth Bowling League celebrated the culmination of another season March 18 with a 9-pin No-Tap bowling party at SherBowl Lanes, Marion.

Medals were presented for team and individual awards as well as USBC youth patches and pins.

The first-place team was the Strike Kings. Team members are Adam Molleker, Aaron Molleker, Austin Molleker, and Tommy Tajchman.

The Motorheads took second. Team members are Caden Bernhardt, Christian Larson, Jeff Silhan, and Justin Silhan.

Shyla Harris received the award for the girls' high handicap series with a score of 698. She also had the high handicap game with a score of 259.

Amanda Steward had the high scratch series with a 514 and the high scratch game with a 209.

Daniel Klein got the award for the boys' high handicap series with a score of 725. He also had the high scratch game with a 186.

High scratch series went to Tommy Tajchman with a 460 and the high handicap game with a 262.

Perfect attendance medals were awarded to Colleen Steele, Caden Bernhardt, Helen Doss, Elizabeth Dies, Adam Molleker, and Chelsea Cornwell.

Kayla Olstrom and Jeff Silhan were the most improved bowlers.
