Zogelman, Gibbons marry in October ceremony
Lisa Zogelman and Christian Gibbons of Emporia were united in marriage at 2 p.m., Oct. 4 at St. Theresa's Chapel in Emporia. Father Jerry Volz and the Rev. Fred Bacon conducted the double ring ceremony.
Parents of the bride are Pat and Mary Zogelman of Florence. Parents of the groom are Clark and Joan Gibbons of Estes Park, Colo.
Given in marriage by her parents, the bride wore a white satin strapless A-line gown accentuated with beadwork. She carried a cascading bouquet with one dozen red roses accented by stargazer lilies and white lilies.
The bride's sisters, Sara Zogelman of Wichita and Krista Zogelman of Fort Scott, served as her honor attendants. Bridesmaids were Gabrielle Darrow of Lee's Summit, Mo., Molly Graversen, and Kacia Saueressig, both of Emporia. They all wore floor-length, red strapless gowns and carried a single red rose and stargazer lily bouquet.
The best man was Richard Hageman of Goodland. Groomsmen were Cory Zellers, Lyle Graversen, and Brad Davis, all of Emporia, and Jerome Johnson of Leavenworth.
Ushers were Eric Pretz and Kevyn Horner, both of Emporia.
Providing the music were Emporia residents Susan Swain, pianist, and Dr. Jim Swain, cellist. Vocalists were Scott Zogelman, uncle of the bride from Florence, and Greta Lilly of Wichita.
Michelle Gibbons, sister of the groom, Kearney, Neb., was the guest book attendant.
Brian and Dana Coover of Bennett, Colo., were in charge of gifts.
The reception was held at Bruff's Bar and Grill in Emporia. Pat and Mary Zogelman served as hosts.
Cake servers were cousins of the bride, Samantha Gomez of Wichita, Heidi Zogelman and Katie Zogelman, both of Florence.
The bride is a graduate of Emporia State University. She is currently employed with SRS of Overland Park.
The groom, also an Emporia State University graduate, is employed at Kansas City International Airport in Kansas City, Mo.
Following a wedding trip to Cancun, Mexico, the couple is making their home in Kansas City, Mo.
