J.G. Morse wishes to say that he will be here next week with a big stock of lumber on grounds he has leased near the entrance to Billings Park. John F. Carter will remove his family here and take charge of the yard.

A gentleman who has made a close estimate informs us that there have been about $45,000 worth of permanent buildings erected in that part of Marion Centre lying west of Muddy Creek since January of this year.

Add this to between $10,000 and $15,000 invested in residences on the hill, and you have a total of nearly $60,000 worth of buildings erected in Marion Centre already this year, and the good work is just begun. Marion Centre is climbing.

Mr. Lockwood found a 4-year-old rattlesnake ensconced on one of his shelves Tuesday. How it came there is something of a mystery, but it was there, alive and healthy. Mr. L. does not deal in rattlesnakes as a regular business, however.
