Adepts with the rifle will have a trial of skill Christmas Day at Billings Park when 100 turkeys will be offered as prizes to the best marksmen. A fine beef also will be contested for in quarters.

We learn that Owen Monohan has sold his delivery to Slaughter Mize of Florence, who will come up and run it.

Arnold Jeanneret is the name of the handsome young Swiss jeweler who has recently located in Marion Centre.

The fact that no Marion Centre girl “bangs” her hair is a fact worth bragging about.

A social hop with supper will be Christmas night at Rogers Hall.

The card of H. Van Langer, architect, will be found in our advertising columns. The services of a professional architect are much needed in a growing town like Marion Centre, and we hope he will receive sufficient encouragement to remain here permanently.

In addition to his designing, Mr. von Langer has taken and executed three important contracts here the past season, the business buildings of Mr. Lockwood and Corbett & Bown.
