Dynamite and blasting caps taken in a burglary at Martin-Marietta quarries in late September are still missing, the Marion County sheriff’s department reports.

Brian Pagenkopf and Meggan Silhan were named Centre High School’s homecoming king and queen Friday. The Cougars defeated White City, 57-8, in a game called in the third quarter.

The event was witnessed by Earl Wood, John Brose, Jerry Higgins, Jack Summerville, and Harlow Warneke.

Fourth graders at Marion Elementary School and their teacher, Bill Darrow, took an all-day science trip Thursday to World Impact Ranch near Florence.
