The winner of the Marion County Record’s Dreamer’s Holiday contest will be drawn Saturday. He or she will receive an expense-paid trip for two to Florida. Winners of this week’s $25 gift certificates are Betty Crumrine, Sharon Pankratz, and Ken Vinduska.

Dear Santa: Have you been well? I want a remote control car, a real golf set, police uniform. Thank you for last year’s presents. Clint Jeffrey, age 7.

Brendan Kraus has been named student of the month by the Marion High School faculty. The senior’s parents are Don and Vickie Kraus. He plans to attend Kansas State University or Pittsburg State University and pursue a degree in wildlife and park management.

Christmas home decoration winners have been announced by Marion Chamber of Commerce.

First place went to the Jim Giesbrechts, 129 S. Cedar St.; second, the Forrest Kelseys, 711 S. Coble St,; third, the Gordon Pendergrafts, 2 Random Rd., Marion County Lake.

Earning honorable mention were the Walter Normans, 72 Lakeshore Drive, and the Lou Wegerers, 306 S. Thorp St.
