Irv Schroeder County Motors soon will have a new home at the east edge of Marion. Now under construction is a 60-by-138-foot structure that will house the Marion branch of the Hillsboro based agency.

Early shoppers made the most of Saturday’s farmers market. The Benard Strombergs of Florence had an ample supply of fresh produce for this, the first such event of the summer. It will be repeated each Saturday, with stands opening at 9 a.m.
