A fine addition to the business section of Marion is being started today. Forms are being set for the foundation of the new 100-by-110-foot structure to house Badger Lumber Co. at the same location on S. 4th St. that it now occupies. The present buildings, constructed in 1887, are to be torn down and replaced by a business place all under one roof.

June seems determined to keep up with the records set in the three months previous. Eleven days this month, rain has fallen. Although the total amount is particularly alarming, the fall to date has been spaced sufficiently far apart to avoid destructive high water.

Fifteen Boy Scouts together with scoutmaster Virgil Wiebe, assistant scoutmaster Homer Stiller, and junior assistant scoutmaster Forest Kelsey, will leave June 29 for Herington Lake to set up their campsite for a summer camp. Investiture service for new scouts Don Burkholder, Teddy Heath, Myron Jantz, Marvin Kline, Billy McKibbin, Joe Soyez, and Marvin Wunsch will be Tuesday evening. The Rev. S.D. Hower will assist.
