A huge, day-long attendance estimated at nearly 2,000 Saturday visited the newly refinished showroom and auto agency building of Paul Seifert Motor Co.

A committee of the Chamber of Commerce has formulated plans for the annual Marion Spring Merchandise Show. They have decided to schedule the affair for March 23 and 24.

Two of Marion County’s polio victims, 9-year-old Nadine Tiemeier of Lincolnville and 12-year-old Mary Ann Bina of Ramona, and Marion blind boy Everett Burkhead will receive the first three Al Jolson records to be given away Feb. 28 at the Kaw Theatre when the film, “Jolson Sings Again,” is shown.

Mrs. Arnold Schwemmer entertained with a party Thursday to celebrate the 5th birthday of her son, Michael.

Guests were Gailen Broadstreet; Mrs. Leslie Broadstreet; Frances Marie Hunt; Mrs. Al Hunt; Patty Jo and Michael Ireland; Mrs. E.M. Ireland; Gary Schwemmer; Larry, Gary, and Harry Winters; and Mrs. Herb Winters.
