These accident reports were released this past week by law enforcement agencies:
SHERIFF
Nighthawk Rd. south of 100th Rd.
Marjorie A. Hufman, 73, Hillsboro, hit a deer at 6:01 p.m. Dec. 19 with her 2020 Ford F-150, which sustained damage characterized as minor to its left front and hood, according to one of five accident reports released Friday.
Old Mill Rd. south of 20th Rd.
A blowout sent a 2016 Ford Focus careening off the road to the right and into a field at 7:18 a.m. Dec. 20.
Damage to the car, owned and driven by Kendra L. Raines, 34, rural Peabody, was characterized as minor.
Three children — Kathryn L., Laura A., and Abigail A. Raines, all of the same address — were passengers. Their ages were redacted by the sheriff’s office from the accident report.
47th Terr. east of Arrow Rd.
Nasir Islam, 63, rural Peabody, drove his 1995 Toyota RAV4 off the road to the right at 10:30 a.m. Dec. 21, turning the sport-utility vehicle onto its right side.
Deputy Aaron Christner blamed the accident on Islam driving inattentively and too fast for conditions.
Christner characterized damage to the Toyota as minor.
120th Rd. west of Jade Rd.
A 2016 Chevrolet Colorado owned and driven by Eric W. Paty, 53, Dallas, hit a loose calf owned by Randall M. Eitzen of Peabody at 10:45 a.m. Dec. 21.
Paty’s pickup remained drivable with damage to its left front.
330th Rd. west of Eagle Rd.
In foggy weather at 10:11 p.m. Christmas Eve, Deborah K. Coup, 62, Salina, hit a deer with her 2015 Toyota RAV4.
The SUV sustained damage characterized as minor to its left front and hood.
