Marion High School celebrated the re-opening of its campus weight room Saturday with a ceremony honoring the donation of new equipment by 1964 alumnus Bob Leppke.
The equipment donated is said to be worth $100,000.
Principal Donald Raymer, coach Shaun Craft, and students from Marion Middle School and High School gave thanks for Leppke’s donation.
“The state-of-the-art custom equipment will provide students with top-tier equipment, helping them excel in their athletic pursuits,” Raymer said.
The donation is in memory of Bob’s parents, Elmer and Lillian Leppke, longtime residents of Marion.
“The community is grateful to Bob Leppke for his remarkable contribution, which has truly made this space one of a kind,” Raymer said.
