Baby farm animal tour planned

A baby farm animal tour March 5 by Flint Hills Counterpoint will let participants enjoy the bleats, baas, and chirps of baby and adult farm animals on three family farms.

Tickets and maps for the self-guided tour are available at Flint Hills Counterpoint, 1660 E. 90th Rd. Cost is $20 per car.

Marilyn and Gary Jones raise sheep, goats, chickens, guineas, dogs, and cats.

Marilyn will give spinning demonstrations and talk about uses of wool.

Becki and Evan Yoder raise sheep, chickens, buffaloes, dogs, and cats.

Becki will have incubated chicks and give a tour of the centennial Yoder farm.

Jeff and Laurie Methvin raise alpacas, Great Pyrenees, cats, and a horse.

Jeff will talk about alpaca wool and his business creating clothing from it.

Commissioned art by Delilah Reed of Loud Cicada will be on display at each farm.

Gift bags and activities will be available as will snack bags prepared by local 4-H youth also will be available.
