Billie Slusser
A celebration of life gathering for former Marion resident Billie H. Slusser, 77, of Topeka, who passed away Friday, Nov. 8, 2024, will be 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., Saturday, Nov. 23, 2024, at Mount Hope Funeral Chapel, 4700 SW 17th St., Topeka.
Entombment of cremated remains will be at Mount Hope Cemetery after the service.
Born Aug. 6, 1947, in Albany, Georgia, to William H. and Helen C. (Clark) Gore, she was a 1965 graduate of Topeka High School.
Billie was employed for 30 years by the Southwestern Bell Telephone in Topeka before retiring. She later served as an administrative assistant for Shawnee Heights school district, retiring in 2002. Billie married Wallace Slusser on Aug. 21, 1976, in Topeka. He preceded her in death April 27, 2023.
Survivors include sons Micah Slusser (and wife Angie) and Jordan Slusser (and wife Rachel) and grandchildren Nolan Slusser, Noah Slusser, Tristan Scott, Cameron Slusser, Harper Slusser, and Berkleigh Slusser.
Billie loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren, and taking pictures of them.
