NEW JAILINGS

Cheyanna M. Maggard, 22, Hillsboro, arrested Sunday by Hillsboro police on suspicion of domestic battery, battery of a law enforcement officer, interference with law enforcement, making a criminal threat, and disorderly conduct. Held without bond.

Michael W. Sigel, 53, Marion, jailed Sunday for 48 hours on court orders. Previously jailed Feb. 10 to 12. Jail records began listing him as a current inmate Sunday, but jailers failed to update his original jailing and release dates from a week earlier.

Todd P. Singley, 48, Newton, jailed Friday for 48 hours on court orders. Previously jailed six times for a total of all or part of 101 days between May 15, 2022, and Dec. 1, 2024. Previous jailings were on court orders three times, for allegedly violating his probation once, for failing to appear in court once, and on suspicion of aggravated battery.

Eric C. Pettit, 42, Galva, jailed without bond Friday for failing to appear in court four times. Previously jailed five times for a total of all or part of five days between June 18, 2020, and July 16, 2022. Previous jailings were for failing to appear in court three times and on suspicion of possessing stolen property, aggravated assault, criminal damage to property, and driving an unregistered vehicle without liability insurance while his license was canceled, suspended, or revoked.
