Deanna Zeitlow

Graveside services will be 9:30 a.m. Thursday at McPherson Cemetery for Deanna Jean Zeitlow, 86, McPherson, who peacefully passed away Sept. 11, 2024, surrounded by family at The Cedars, McPherson. A memorial service will follow at 11 a.m. at First United Methodist Church with pastor Andrew Conard officiating.

Deanna was born June 15, 1938, in McPherson to Lloyd Harry and Dorothea Mae (Crowther) White.

She graduated from Durham High School and received a degree in home economics from Kansas State University in 1960.

On Dec. 27, 1960, Deanna was united in marriage to Leonard Eugene Zeitlow in Canton. This union was blessed with two sons, Greg and Doug.

In her earlier career, she taught home economics at Minneapolis High School and later was the office manager at Zeitlow Distributing.

Deanna was a member of the First United Methodist Church.

She is survived by her loving husband of 63 years, Leonard; two sons, Greg (and wife Pat) Zeitlow of Boonville, Missouri, and Doug (and wife Jeanne) Zeitlow of McPherson; brother, Dennis White of Gypsum; four grandchildren, Andrew (and wife Ellery) Zeitlow, Matthew Zeitlow, Kaylee Zeitlow, and Nicholas Zeitlow; a great-granddaughter, Winter Zeitlow; and many extended relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

The family will receive friends from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. Thursday at Stockham Family Funeral Home, McPherson.

Memorials have been established with Deanna Zeitlow’s Crohn’s Patients Assistance Fund and Shriners Hospitals for Children in care of Stockham Family Funeral Home, 205 N. Chestnut St., McPherson KS 67460.
