Delores Haag

Services were Saturday for former Peabody resident Delores Haag, 83, who died Aug. 2 at her home in Topeka.

She was born May 24, 1938, in Peabody, one of three children born to Mildred and Ed Nicklaus.

She married Robert Haag on Oct. 11, 1958. They lived in Topeka since 1970.

She was a teacher in Meridien and several schools in the Topeka area. After 28 years of teaching, Delores retired as consulting special education teacher for the Topeka school system.

She played the organ for 60 years and was organist for many churches in the Topeka area.

She was a member of First United Methodist Church in Topeka and Women of the Moose.

Survivors include sons Richard (and wife Robbie) of Eudora, Randy (and wife Lisa) of Topeka, and Ron (and wife Robin) of Topeka; five grandchildren Dakota and Cassidy of Topeka, Clay of Omaha, Tira of Cleveland, and Chad (and wife Jessica); great-granddaughter Ellen of Kansas City; brother Edward (and wife Roselyn) of Garden City; and many nieces, nephews, and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband and her sister, Earlene.

Burial was in Grantville Cemetery, Grantville.
