June 8

7:52 a.m. — A 60-year-old woman who had a diabetic attack in the 100 block of Birch St., Marion, was taken to St. Luke Hospital by Marion ambulance.

10:44 a.m. — A St. Luke patient was transferred to Newton Medical Center by Marion ambulance.

12:06 p.m. — A report of smoke at Casey’s General Store was determined by Marion firefighters to be from construction equipment passing by.

3:27 p.m. — Burns firefighters extinquished a grass fire near 30th Rd. and US-77.

June 9

2:46 a.m. — A 77-year-old woman who fell in the 200 block of N. Buller St., Goessel, was taken to Newton Med by Hillsboro ambulance. A Goessel first responder and firefighter also assisted.

6:08 a.m. — A Hillsboro Community Hospital patient was transferred to Newton Med by Marion ambulance.

1:32 p.m. — A 73-year-old woman having a diabetic reaction in the 100 block N. Church St., Goessel, declined to be taken to a hospital by Hillsboro ambulance. A Goessel first responder also answered the call.

9:03 p.m. — Two juveniles who hit heads playing basketball near Goessel High School declined to be taken to a hospital by Hillsboro ambulance.

thursday

7:17 a.m. — An 83-year-old man who fell near 140th and Falcon Rds. was taken to Newton Med by Hillsboro ambulance.

8:09 a.m. — Hillsboro firefighters were called to a false alarm at Parkside Homes.

11:00 a.m. — A 99-year-old man with low blood pressure taken by Hillsboro ambulance to Newton Med from the 100 block of N. Washington St., Hillsboro.

9:24 p.m. — An HCH patient was transferred to Via Christi – St. Francis Hospital, Wichita, by Hillsboro ambulance.

friday

7:34 a.m. — A 75-year-old woman with stroke-like symptoms was taken to St. Luke by Peabody ambulance from the 800 block of N. Poplar St., Peabody.

10:04 a.m. — A trash fire near 150th and Holly Rds. resulted in a call, eventually canceled, to Hillsboro firefighters.

2:22 p.m. — No one was taken to a hospital after a one-vehicle accident at US-50 and 110th Rd. in which some fertilizer spilled from a truck. Florence firefighters and first responders and Marion ambulance were sent to the accident.

4:09 p.m. — A false alarm sent Hillsboro firefighters to Parkside Homes.

4:34 p.m. — A suicidal diabetic woman in the 200 block of W. 6th St., Florence, was taken to St. Luke by Marion ambulance.

5:13 p.m. — A man who fell near 190th and Pawnee Rds. declined to be taken to a hospital by Hillsboro ambulance.

5:35 p.m. — Lost Springs firefighters found no fire when they were called to possible fire near 320th and US-77.

7:03 p.m. — A 79-year-old woman with chest pains was taken to St. Luke by Marion ambulance from near 260th and Sunflower Rds.

7:33 p.m. — A 75-year-old man with chest pains was taken to St. Luke by Hillsboro ambulance from near 190th and Wagonwheel Rds.

11:56 p.m. — Blood for a blood alcohol test was drawn by Marion ambulance from an inmate at Marion County Jail.

saturday

2:00 a.m. — A 45-year-old woman who was struck in the head declined to be taken to a hospital by Marion ambulance from near Turkey Creed Rd. and Lakeshore Dr.

12:13 p.m. — An 85-year-old man who aspirated at Salem Home, Hillsboro, was taken to HCH by Hillsboro ambulance.

2:23 p.m. — Durham firefighters extinguished a fire in a hay field near 300th and Alamo Rds.

4:00 p.m. — Marion firefighters and ambulance were called to Marion County Jail after smoke was reported coming from a jail cell.

7:52 p.m. — A St. Luke patient was transferred to Via Christi-St. Joseph Hospital, Wichita by Marion ambulance. A Marion County deputy rode along.

2:43 p.m. — A St. Luke patient was transferred to Rock Regional Hospital, Derby, by Marion ambulance.

6:35 p.m. — A 43-year-old woman with heat exhaustion declined to be taken to a hospital by Marion ambulance from the 100 block of W 4th St., Florence.

monday

2:58 p.m. — A 79–year-old man who was feeling weak was taken by Peabody ambulance to St. Luke from the 1000 block of Pine St., Peabody.

4:30 p.m. — A 73-year-old woman who fell declined to be taken to a hospital by Hillsboro ambulance from the 200 block of S. Washington St., Hillsboro.

5:43 p.m. — Marion ambulance and Peabody firefighters were called to a one-vehicle accident near 110th and Upland Rds., but no one was taken to a hospital.

7:22 p.m. — A 97-year-old who was choking was taken to St. Luke by Marion ambulance from the 200 block of N. 4th St., Marion.
