Esther Funk

Services for Esther M. Funk, 86, who died July 13 at Bethesda Home in Goessel, were Saturday with burial in Haven of Rest Cemetery in Hillsboro.

Born April 9, 1935, near Ulysses to Albert and Anna (Ratzloff) Frantz, she was a graduate of Tampa High School and married Eldon R. Funk on Sept. 9, 1954.

She was a church secretary for many years.

Survivors include her husband Eldon of Hillsboro; sons Gerald of Salina, Donovan of Hillsboro, and Bryan of Beatrice, Nebraska; daughter Janice Voth of rural Goessel; brothers Leonard Frantz of Hillsboro and Jonas Frantz of Tampa; 10 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by brothers Daniel and David Frantz and a great-grandson.

Memorial funds have been established with Bethesda Home and Good Shepherd Hospice.
