Free films planned in Hillsboro

Free movies will be shown at 1:30 and 3:15 p.m. Thursday at Hillsboro Public Library, 120 E. Grand Ave.

Licensing agreements prevent the library from revealing the films’ titles.

The first is about a girl named Moana, called by her ancestors to a seafaring adventure in search of long-lost secrets of her heritage.

The second is about a girl who embarks on a magical adventure to reconnect kids with their imaginary friends, whom she has the power to see.

Free popcorn and water will be available. Children younger than 13 must be accompanied by an adult.

Wichita author Jillian Forsberg will be at the city building from 2 to 4 p.m. April 8 to discuss her debut novel and next book.

The library’s next monthly book club meeting will be 7 p.m. April 10 about “The Art of Racing in the Rain” by Garth Stein. Adults may join at any time.
