CLUB NOTES

Happy Hustlers

Happy Hustlers 4-H club members split into two groups before their monthly meeting Dec. 6 at Marion County Lake Hall and went Christmas caroling in Marion at Hilltop Manor and St. Luke Living Center, leaving fruit baskets as gifts.

At the meeting, Eli Groening led the group in the Pledge of Allegiance, and Clayton Thomas led the 4-H Pledge.

After being reminded to stand up and speak clearly, 23 members answered roll call by naming something they wanted for Christmas. Three leaders and nine parents also attended.

Shelby Summervill reported on club finances, and Amy Summervill reported for community leaders. Officers were reminded to complete training before Jan. 10. Yearly dues are being collected.

The club voted to collect lip balm for Marion Elementary School. Members signed thank you notes to sponsors. Cookie platters for sponsors were assembled and dispersed for delivery.

Allyson Vogel led members in singing “Happy Birthday” to members with December birthdays. Gifts were exchanged, and refreshments of Christmas cookies and hot apple cider were provided by the Edmundson and Salsbury families.

The next meeting will be 7 p.m. Monday at the lake hall.
