Michael Loomis

Family members of Michael T. Loomis, 52, who passed away Friday at St. Luke Hospital in Marion, will gather with friends from 3 to 4 p.m. Sunday at Yazel-Megli Funeral Home, Marion.

His memorial service, led by pastor Carl Helm, will begin at 4 p.m.

Michael was a graduate of Marion High School and worked around the area as a carpenter. He was skilled at stucco work on buildings, and an excellent roofer and could literally build or repair any structure. Michael enjoyed NASCAR racing, fishing and boating on the Cottonwood River.

His loving family includes children Justin (and wife Melissa Tajchman) Loomis, Ashley Loomis, Jason Marshall, Andi (and husband Justin) Fike, Trai (and wife Pamela Delzer) Santos, and Bree Fryman; grandchildren Tristin, Tyler, Kai, Conner, Ayden, Kobe, Haven and Carson; spouse Jody Loomis; and brothers John Loomis of Hillsboro and Tim Loomis of Topeka.

He was preceded in death by his parents and brother Richard Loomis.

Memorial contributions in Michael’s name may be directed to Yazel-Megli Funeral Home. Friends are asked to sign his online guestbook and leave a memory of Michael at www.ymzfh.com.
