Magi Cravens
No services are planned for Margaret “Magi” Cravens, who was found deceased Oct. 8 at her home in Great Bend.
Magi was born Oct. 1, 1966, to Rosa and LeRoy McElhiney at McConnell Air Force Base. She grew up in Peabody and Florence, graduating from Peabody High School in 1985.
She graduated from Emporia State University with a bachelor’s degree in nursing and spent her working years in the health care industry.
She married James “Jim” Cravens on June 14, 1997, in Marion.
They lived in El Dorado, where Margaret worked as a nurse at Susan B. Allen Hospital. She and Jim ran a business called “Uniforms, Nurses Stations, and Garage Sales” in El Dorado.
She was widowed in 2005 and later moved to California, Missouri, for several years before settling in Great Bend.
She loved her cats, Stephen King stories, and the Kansas City Chiefs.
She is survived by her brothers, David, Douglas, and Daniel.
Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents.
