Melody Roberts-Lovell

A memorial service for Peabody High School graduate Melody Ann Roberts-Lovell, 69, of Kerrville, Texas, who passed into the loving arms of her heavenly Father on Tuesday, Aug. 10, 2021, is planned for 11 a.m. Sept. 4, 2021, in Kerrville.

Born Feb. 28, 1952, to Ernest and Frances Roberts in Wichita, she attended grade school and graduated from high school in Peabody.

After receiving a degree at Calvary Bible College, she worked for Bell Telephone Co. and AT&T, rising through the ranks to an executive position.

Melody married Dennis Doney in 1973. They lived in St. Louis and eventually San Antonio.

She is survived by son Chad Doney of St. Louis; daughter Katy Guthrie and husband Thom of Boerne, Texas; son Jeremy Doney and wife Amber of Lubbock, Texas; brother Randy Roberts and wife Jan of Hutchinson; and six grandchildren.

Melody was a giving, generous person who so loved the Lord and her family and friends. She was a believer and is enjoying the joyful presence of Jesus forever.
