Norman Schroeder

Services for Norman Edward Schroeder, 97, Goessel, who passed away Tuesday, Dec. 3, 2024, at Bethesda Home were Saturday, Dec. 7. Burial was in Alexanderwohl Mennonite Church Cemetery.

Born July 7, 1927, in Goessel, to Edward and Susie (Reimer) Schroeder, Norman graduated from Goessel High School and was united in marriage on Nov. 15, 1950, to LuEtta K. Pankratz.

After 47 years of marriage, she preceded him in death Dec. 16, 1997. Norman later married Leona (Gehring) Wall on March 20, 2004.

He was a member of Alexanderwohl Mennonite Church and worked as a livestock and grain farmer.

He is survived by his wife, Leona Schroeder, of Goessel; children, James (and wife Janice) Schroeder of Newton and Kathryn (and husband Robert) Woelk of Hillsboro; daughter-in-law DaLonna Schroeder of Hesston; Leona’s children, Darryl (and wife Val) Wall of Valley Center and Sandra (and husband Howard) Rush of Hutchinson; nine grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and his twin brother, Vernon Schroeder of Lititz, Pennsylvania.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife LuEtta Schroeder; son Delwin Schroeder; and brothers Raymond and Milferd Schroeder.
