REPORTED

These offense reports were released this past week by law enforcement agencies:

SHERIFF

Possessing and distributing methamphetamine, using a phone in committing drug felony

Sheriff’s deputies reported seizing 37.8 grams of methamphetamine — enough for nearly 400 entry-level doses of the drug — in a previously reported drug bust at 1:49 a.m. May 23 at Nighthawk and 140th Rds.

Amanda L. Davis, 44, Marion, and Phillip D. Heathcock, 53, Loveton, New Mexico, were arrested on suspicion of distribution of meth. Davis also is suspected of using a phone to set up a drug deal. Both have long histories of drug arrests.

Davis was released the next day after posting a $10,000 surety bond. Heathcock was released June 1 after posting a similar bond. As conditions of his bond, he is prohibited from having contact with Davis or with Travis Grosse, 45, Marion, who was arrested in a related raid the same day.

Both Davis and Heathcock were declared indigent or partially indigent. Attorneys are being supplied for them at public expense. Each has been ordered to pay $50 a month to defray some of the legal expense.

HILLSBORO

Theft

Joshua Funk, 24, reported that a license plate was removed from his 2008 Kymco scooter between Feb. 26 and May 31 while the scooter was parked near the rear door of his apartment in the 100 block of N. Main St.
