These offense reports were released this past week by law enforcement agencies:

HILLSBORO

Burglary

A red Honda push mower valued at $50 was reported stolen between 5 p.m. April 12 and 5:45 p.m. April 15 by a burglar who broke into a detached garage at the residence in the 300 block of N. Lincoln St.

Owner Diana K. Wright, 35, said the door to the garage normally was secured by a rope.

PEABODY

Theft

A Kubota lawn mower valued at $6,000 was reported stolen between midnight and 8 a.m. April 1 from the residence in the 100 block of W. 9th St. of Roy Young Jr., according to a report released Tuesday.

Domestic battery

After initially complaining that she was the victim, Calris D. Daum, 42, Peabody, was arrested on suspicion of domestic battery after a disturbance at 9:50 p.m. April 9 in the 900 block of N. Vine St.

Officer Presley Mabe’s report identifies the victim as Christopher Carr, 43, of the same address and alleges it was Daum’s second domestic battery arrest in five years. She was released from county jail 18 hours later after posting a $2,000 surety bond.

According to monitored transmissions, Daum initially reported at 9:09 p.m. that she had been choked by Carr, who had left the house. An ambulance was called to check her. She declined to be taken to a hospital. Mabe continued to investigate, however, calling for a sheriff’s deputy who had earlier backed him up to return and arresting Daum at 10:46 p.m.

Criminal damage

Lorene F. Layne-Young reported that 18 fowl valued at $380 and eyeglasses valued at $300 were damaged at 5:21 p.m. April 11 at her residence in the 300 block of N. Pine St.

According to monitored transmissions, she reported that dogs had attacked her chickens. Damage to her eyeglasses was not explained.

Criminal damage

Karen A. Dixon reported that a vandal caused $500 damage to her vehicle while it was parked between midnight and 7:30 a.m. Thursday in the 300 block of N. Olive St., a block from her residence.

According to monitored transmissions, she thought someone poured something in her gas tank, preventing her vehicle from starting.
