SHERIFF
Criminal damage, leaving scene of accident
A hit-and-run driver did an estimated $250 damage between 3 a.m. and 7:30 a.m. July 27 to mailboxes owned by John Thole on Sunrise Rd. just north of US-56.
HILLSBORO
Battery, runaway juvenile
A parent suffered an apparently minor injury during an argument with a juvenile at 7:15 p.m. July 29 at a residence in the 200 block of S. Madison St.
The juvenile was taken into custody.
MARION
Domestic battery, making a criminal threat, battery of a law enforcement officer
Drinking is suspected in a morning altercation at 8 a.m. Friday at Bown-Corby Apartments.
Kalleigh M. Saenz, 25, Marion, was arrested after she allegedly threatened to punch boyfriend and roommate Nicholas A. Bowen, 38; struck interim Police Chief Zach Hudlin instead; then went around Hudlin and struck Bowen.
Neither victim suffered any apparent injury,
Saenz was released from jail on a $5,000 bond 10 hours after her arrest.
