Open houses planned for dock, ambulance station

Open houses are planned for late January for a newly rebuilt heated fishing dock at the county lake and a still-under-construction ambulance station in Hillsboro. Dates are not yet set.
County clerk Tina Spencer told commissioners Tuesday that construction of the dock is complete.
Lake supervisor Isaac Hett said a thermostat was installed Monday.
Benches will be added. Lake staff members have two benches in the dock and are waiting for feedback whether they are the right height.
Commissioners heard a quarterly report from emergency medical services director Travis Parmley.
