ACTIVITY REPORTS

Law enforcement agencies provided these reports of their activities this past week. Routine activities such as patrols, inspections, training, report-writing, and assistance to other agencies are excluded.

HILLSBORO

June 7 — Officers warned a motorist who was driving without a headlight and checked a semi-trailer truck parked on US-56.

June 8 — A dog appeared to escape serious injury when hit by a car on Grand Ave. Two trespassing complaints were investigated in the 400 block of S. Main St., the second resulting in the arrest of Clayton Lingenfelter, 23. Because of phone problems, an officer delivered a message from Hillsboro Community Hospital to Salem Home.

June 9 — Complaints about parking at Tabor College and a lost cell phone were investigated.

June 10 — A report of possible dog neglect in Harvey County was forwarded to authorities there.

June 11 — A motorist who left without paying for gasoline at Ampride returned and paid. Officers assisted in locating a missing juvenile.

June 12 — A disconnected 911 call in the 100 block N. Ash St. was attributed to malfunction of a phone.

June 13 — A camper license tag was reported missing. A vehicle reportedly driven recklessly on US-56 was not found.

MARION

June 7 — A report of trespassing in the 1000 block of E. Main St. was investigated. Patricia Miller, 40, was arrested on a Georgia warrant for failure to appear in court.

June 8 — The department’s drug dug checked a vehicle at the owner’s request. Officers stood by during a civil matter in the 700 block of Sherman St. A possibly suicidal person was located and taken to St. Luke Hospital for evaluation.

June 9 – Officers investigated a report of an out-of-control juvenile. A motorist was cited for going 82 mph in a 65-mph zone on US-56 at Timber Rd. A juvenile out after curfew was contacted.

June 10 — Officers stood by during a civil matter in the 1200 block of E. Main St. Officers attempted to contact the owners of disabled vehicles in the 300 block of N. 2nd St. and 300 block of S. Roosevelt St. A motorist was cited for going 85 mph in a 65 mph zone on US-56 near Cedar St.

June 11 — Officers met with a property manager in reference to suspicious activity June 10 in the 1500 block of E. Main St. Five motorists were warned for speeding or equipment violations. Justin Chrisjohn, 44, was arrested on suspicion of domestic battery after officers were dispatched to a disturbance 1:56 a.m. in the 1200 block of E. Main St.

June 12 — A door-to-door salesman was reported. A possibly suicidal person in the 100 block of N. Roosevelt was taken to St. Luke for evaluation. Six motorists on US-56 were stopped for equipment violations. One tested negative for driving under the influence. Citations were issued for no proof of insurance and possession of marijuana.

June 13 — Damage to a fuel pump hose at Ampride was investigated.
