The Trojans were on fire Friday night against Minneapolis, winning 51-36 at home.
Lincoln Wichert scored 14 points, Seth Driggers scored 11 — two of which came from a slam dunk — and Easton Shahan scored 10.
Wichert, Shahan, and Noah Beavers each pulled down seven rebounds.
“We were able to have a steady stream of scoring throughout the game,” coach Kyle Kroeker said. “The boys worked to get easy looks inside either from the drive or passes into the paint.”
“We continue to hang our hat on solid defense, and this will be the key moving forward the rest of the season,” Kroeker said.
Hillsboro will be back at home Friday to play Halstead.
Marion
The Warriors lost on the road Friday night at Council Grove, 66-44.
Marion has been struck by illness, with several players out the last few weeks.
Coach Kevin Dasenbrock was absent during Fridays game battling influenza A and pneumonia.
“I am very proud of the boys how they are going out and competing night in and night out all while battling adversity,” Dasenbrock said.
Luke Wessel led the team in scoring with 12 points. Jackson Howard scored 11 and pulled down nine rebounds.
Carson Krause scored seven, pulled down four rebounds, and captured three steals. Jordy Raymer scored seven.
The Warriors will be home Friday for a game against Moundridge.

The Goessel boys scored first at Sedgwick, but 17 unanswered points by the Cardinals set the tone for the evening.
The Bluebirds trailed 33-12 at the half and 49-14 at the end of three quarters. With a running clock in the final period, the game ended Sedgwick 50, Goessel 16.
Koy Smith led the Bluebirds with 8 points.
Goessel (1-12) will compete with Wakefield (1-11) on Friday at Goessel’s homecoming.
Centre
The Cougars had to cancel school and all activities Friday because of illness.
They had been scheduled to play against Canton-Galva, but that game has been rescheduled for 2 p.m. Feb.15.
The Cougars will have a rough schedule ahead of them with nine games to play in the final three weeks.
Centre’s next game will be Friday at home against Little River.
Peabody-Burns
No game was scheduled last Friday for the Warriors.
Peabody-Burns’ next game will be on the road this Friday against Canton-Galva.
