Vi Dick

Services for Violet “Vi” Dick, 69, who died Jan. 28 at Schowalter Villa, Hesston, will be 1:30 p.m. Saturday at Koerner Heights Church, 320 N. Meridian, Newton.

She was born Feb. 3, 1942, in Hooker, Oklahoma, to Bill and Anna (Schroeder) Wohlgemuth.

She married William R. Dick on May 23, 1964, in Adams, Oklahoma. He died April 1, 2010.

She grew up on a farm near Adams and attended Adams High School, Corn Bible Academy, and Tabor College, graduating in 1964.

She taught at Ingalls Elementary School in Wichita before moving to Hesston in 1970. She worked for Hesston Chamber of Commerce and Hesston College. She was a member of Koerner Heights Church in Newton.

Survivors include daughters Noelle Dickinson of Newton, and Hilary Dick of Bel Aire; son, Aaron Dick of Olathe; sister, Loretta Lee of Hesston; brother Willis Wohlgemuth of Claremore, Oklahoma; and five grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; brother William James Wohlgemuth; and sister Ruth Ann Wohlgemuth.

Social distancing and masks are strongly encouraged at the service. Services will be streamed on the Koerner Heights Church social media page.

A memorial has been established for Koerner Heights Church special projects fund.
