Voting’s impact
To the editor:
Voting has consequences. And those consequences may last a while. It is possible they may last longer than the candidate we are voting for.
Politicians in the administrative state enact policies. These policies can have a trickle-down effect. Often, these policies have a monetary effect. Prices of goods and services go up or down.
Recent events have shed some light into the corruption of our officials, both elected and selected; the over-reach of agencies and their failures.
When you voted four years ago, did you imagine that where we are today is where we would be? Did you wish for rampant immigration? Did you vote for mountains of fentanyl flowing into this country? Were you in favor of endless wars? Were you voting for higher prices and fewer goods?
If that’s not what you voted for four years ago – why vote for it now?
