Stovall-Steckline wedding

The marriage of Carla Stovall of Topeka, daughter of Carl and Juanita Stovall of Marion, and Larry Steckline of Garden Plain was solemnized Aug. 31, 2002, at St. Elizabeth's Catholic Church in Grove, Okla.

Celebrants at the ceremony were Father Pat York of St. Peter's Catholic Church, Wichita, Father Alex Kennedy and Father Robert Pepe of Grove, and Bishop Eugene Gerber of Wichita.

Lectors were Jim Schartz of Garden Plain and Kate Scarbrough of Topeka.

Host bearers were Emma Lee and Colby Hett, niece and nephew of the bride, and Tess Steckline, granddaughter of the groom.

Maddie Tritsch and Morgan Tritsch of Topeka was Mass servers.

Candlelighters were Thomas Hett, nephew of the bride, and Keesha Steckline, granddaughter of the groom.

Musical selections were provided by Julie Sterling of Hardtner, vocalist, and Tom Fisher of Garden Plain, trumpeter.

Guests were seated by Kent Cochran of Wichita and Doug Wewe of Pretty Prairie, sons-in-law of the groom, Neil DeWerff, brother-in-law of the groom, and Jack Hett, brother-in-law of the bride.

The bride's attendants were her sister Donna Hett of Marion, Libby Sharp of Midland, Texas, and Connie Neeley of Houston, Texas. Mini-brides were the groom's granddaughters Tanza Cochran of Wichita and Madison Wewe of Pretty Prairie.

Flower girls were the groom's granddaughters Lexy Cochran of Wichita and Shaylee and Shanay Wewe of Pretty Prairie. Blane Steckline of Garden Plain, the groom's grandson, was ring bearer.

The groom was attended by his son Greg Steckline of Garden Plain, his daughters Anita Cochran of Wichita and Shasta Wewe of Pretty Prairie, and his sister Belinda DeWerff of Hays.

Becky Sabel and Mary Tritsch of Topeka were the guest book attendants.

Ron and Renae Ryan of Wichita and Virgil and Mary Alice Lair of Piqua were hosts at the floating reception which began with a champagne and cake cruise aboard the Cherokee Queen, followed by dinner and dancing.

Servers were Lindsay Ohlemeier of Hays, niece of the groom, Karen Cuendet of Grove, and Juliene Maska and Nancy Lindberg of Topeka.

The bride currently is Kansas Attorney General. The groom is president of Mid-America Ag Network and K-State Sports Network.

The couple resides in Garden Plain.
